Microsoft says none of these are available on the Mac. It's true, the Jump List feature that "opens files in just two clicks from the task bar" is not called that on the Mac, and only requires one click under Recent Items under the Apple menu. There are also other features unique to both Windows and the Mac. But are these four features really the strongest Microsoft can include in its sales pitch training for Windows 7? Apple calls most of Snow Leopard's new features "refinements," but may are more significant and useful.

When you have an inferior product (Win 7) you have to resort to lies to market it.

Link.

Hi Peter... I think this has been mentioned a few times already....

is this the same as that Best Buy thingy?

I can understand that Microsoft is panicking right now.....cos it takes me only 20 minutes to install Ubuntu 9.04 on my aging Fujitsu-Siemens Celeron M notebook and then I have a full Office suite, integrated email client, tons of games, internet access, out of the box DVD player, DVD burner, music player.....the list goes on. Oh, and the weather icon on my taskbar is da bomb. :)

In fact, I prefer messing around on my Ubuntu notebook than my Vista notebook.

Windows 7 might be Microsofts last big OS, or if M$ is pro-active, expect Windows 8 to come bundled with MSOffice 2007 (lets face it, MSWorks is just pathetic) and it will be a third of the price tag of just buying Windows 7.

Thats the only way I can see Microsoft staying dominant in the OS market for years to come.

Does 9.04 support DVD encryption out the box? surely you need to add the medibuntu repo to enable that...

I am not sure, Aqua. All I know is that if I pop in a DVD, it plays without a hitch on my Ubuntu notebook. :)
