Microsoft unveils foldable smartphone

Microsoft unveiled its latest attempt at a smartphone, the Surface Duo, on Wednesday.

The Surface Duo will use a dual-screen model that is reminiscent of Samsung's foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Fold, with two 5.6-inch displays expanding into a 8.3-inch display.

Even just one half of that thing looks like the size of a mini tablet. Dunno, just seems like an old-school folding pda with two screens instead of a screen + keyboard.

Is it really a smartphone at that size? Won't that start playing into the tablet market?

I'm intrigued by it, but I'd need to see it in real world operation before I would consider it.

Well, take your big ass Samsung Note or iPhone whatever Plus, put a flip cover on it to protect the screen, and you have something more or less the size if this I recon.
I think it could work, and I would much rather buy something like this than a tablet.

I still prefer my S10e sized phone though.
