Microsoft vs Google trial comes to an end

So Google have potentially been planning this.
Buy Motorola for 12.5 billion and get the money back through lawsuits.
Do no evil.

They bought Motorola as a reaction. Microsoft and friends where budding against Google and taking it to court left right and center. Remember the Nortel patents? Also a month before the Motorola bid, old Motorola said they will be going after Android and its OEM's as well.

If reaction is your definition of evil, then yes they are evil :D

I think it just shows how many patents everyone infringed on so they had to buy Motorola otherwise they were in it deep. They were bidding on the Nortel if you remember as well so I cant agree that it was a reaction. Someone had to win that bid just like Microsoft and Co lost the Motorola bid.

Microsoft, Apple and RIM formed a Group to bid against Google. Kinda unfair don't you think?
 
I don't think google are always the first to file, they usually react to other suites.
 
A fair number of Motorola related suits started before googles acquisition. There is a high stakes market transition that will balance out.
