Microsoft working on new password tool for Chrome and Edge

If you're on a page where it asks for username and password, right click the box of password and then click on the inspect button.. Where it says type"password" change the word password to text, and then you'll see the letters instead of astrix. And if a password was already typed in, it will also become normal letters. So this idea isn't actually new?

100%. I don't get it. It's actually pathetic that such a massive issue is driven by CSS and not built into the browsing engine.

How is this revolutionary when it can be done with an extension?
