I really like Media Player 11 (I know it's still in Beta) and Microsoft will make sure that the Zune & Media Player 11 work in perfect harmony.
Back to the iPod - this is excellent:

At this stage I still prefer iTunes however, the latest iTunes 7 seems to be a bit harsh on memory whereas MP11 runs nicely - it is however not that well supported yet w.r.t. getting track info off the web. At least I can get cover art from MP11 without having to register a US/UK based credit card.
You've got a bit of a wait - its only expected to be released at the end of the year.Heh, heh - just sold my iPod 30g video in anticipation for the zune - I am waiting in the queue...... Large screen and wireless sold me already.
Also - keep in mind any of the music that you buy with M$oft's PlaysForSure wont play on it - Amazon must be pissed.![]()

And Apple have been heavily criticised for not letting other retailers have access to fairplay.Stats have shown that iPod owners buy on average only 20 tracks from the iTunes store ... now where do you think they get their music from to fill up their players ???.

Afaik Zune will not use or support MP11 ... it will comes with it's own music manager.
Why not use iTunes mini player and set it to remain on top?Something I don't like about iTunes is that you need to make the window active before you can click on anything to work. i.e. 2 screens, working on FF on the 1 screen with iTunes on the other screen. If you move your mouse to iTunes and click on pause, nothing happens. The window was only selected as active and then you have to click the pause (or whatever button) again. In MP, you just move your mouse to the button, click and it pauses.
