microUSB on Nokia 5230

Just playing around with my Nokia 5230, it's simply awesome

Just one Q remains - can you use a standard microUSB cable with the Nokia 5230?

I've got one or two microUSB cables here with me, and is not in the mood to go to the shops just to buy another microUSB cable if they will work.

It'll be fine. Just keep in mind that, if you're looking to charge the phone off USB (dunno if Nokias can do this yet), it might take a lot longer than charging from mains. A PC's USB ports only supply 500mA if I recall, and on my HTC that's just enough to keep the battery from draining, but not to charge it at any noticeable rate... 5% per hour or so.
