Short story.

Friend of mine took her microwave in to repair and was told she has to pay R 50.00 inspection fee up front. It was going on, but just not heating up. Not long after she received a sms stating that the microwave was repaired, and she must pay an additional R300.00 for "repairs done to pcb, and 3 door switches replaced"

She took it home, and lo-and-behold, it was still not heating up. So she called immediately, and was told she must take it back. She arranged to take it back 3 days after, and when it was returned, they left a voice message on her phone the next day, telling her the pcb needs to be replaced and she has to pay R 350.00 for this.

She already paid an inspection fee, and a repair fee, now they want her to pay again? She never got to warm up anything in the damn thing? What steps can we take to get this solved?

Thanks, I'll demand a refund and kick up a stink.

Normally if the microwave comes on but nothing heats it is the CAP or magnatron..i normally replace the cap first ( cheapest )
