Microwaves Starts On When Door Opens

So now suddenly when I open my microwave door it switches on, as in start microwaving. When I close the microwave door, it stops.

What happens when you put your hand inside? I can never do that because I cant get the door closed.

A quick Google shows its probably a door switch issue. Some Microwaves have up to 3 switches monitoring the door, so they probably feed back to some logic system which is now getting confused due to a faulty switch.

Take it in for repairs and don't keep using it.

A microwave ovens' microwaves attenuate exponentially over a short distance, so unless your body is right up against the microwave if the door is open, the risk is minimal.
