Wezwa is looking for a Mid/Senior CakePHP developer to join the team at its offices in Auckland Park, Johannesburg.
Our ideal candidate is a top-notch Mid/Senior developer, a team player who understands multiple technologies, and someone who can manage a tight project schedule.
Responsibilities:
-Take on a Mid/Senior Development Role in Wezwa’s CakePHP and mobile modules.
-Be an active team-player and work with Mid and Junior Developers to meet weekly deadlines.
Salary:
-R27-R32k negotiable.
-Lunch included. Fantastic work environment.
-Includes further educational opportunities
Minimum Requirements:
-2-3 years CakePHP experience
-More than 1 year experience working with Mobile-websites or Mobile applications
-Extensive experience with LAMP stack and open source software in general
-Excellent communication skills
-Good knowledge of front-end technologies
-Sound knowledge of MySQL or other RDMS
-HTML/CSS
-JavaScript
-Ajax
-JSON
The following experience is preferred:
-Direct experience with native BlackBerry, Android, iOS, or Windows Phone 8 development
-J2me development
Personal skills and motivation:
-Be able to work in a team, as well as independently
-Personally motivated to build amazing software
-Passionate about homegrown technology solutions for Africa
-Fast learner
