So on Sunday the world event started. I figured I'd complete it quickly.

800 gold later and achievements all abound, I figured "Job well done"

Yesterday I read about some bug that didn't allow any other players who did it the previous year to complete the quests. So I was like "hahahahaha losers"

Right, so I had 157 burning blossoms left, I ran past one of the "Honor the Flame" quest givers and I saw it... I could Honor the Flame once again.

First I figured it was a daily, then when I went and read the achievement guide again, I saw that it was not.

Blizzard RESET everything again (I subsequently hit 2000 quest achievement which was now only 1971 quests done)

I still had my achievements but I could now Honor and Desecrate and Steal the flames again.

So I did (didn't complete Kalimdor out of boredom)

800 gold later.... 757 burning blossoms later, I got the pet and the brazier :)

I completed the Flame Keeper achievement before the reset so last night I ran around grabbing a bit of extra gold and enough Blossoms for the pet since I'd spent 400 already buying the full kit for the Dancing mint.

O yeah and I'd already farmed Ahune in BC so I have the Scythe but I didn't have the enchant. 2 Kills and I got it.
If i'm bored I'll splatter him for the Pet.

Its so frigging hard putting together a PUG for Ahune... all I wanted is that enc so the first down we got there it was... my pretty... and some other dude wanted it too... so we rolled and I lost. 4 retries later, nothing.

I hate Ahune

Haven't done him on HC though
 
I got one of the items.. the chest piece that sparkles when you dance.. and I stole the flame from Undercity.. but Im too low level to do anything with it :(

Really? Right click on the item and accept the quest? Or can't you?

How difficult is it to solo him?

I imagine not that very difficult, his ads on normal is quite weak and I down him usually after the first Phase has completed (the very first time he exposes the core)

Now I'm not sure how much damage I alone did to him but I image you'd cycle through at least 2 sets of phases to get him down. I'd recommend a healer be close just in case.
 
can pop solo him on my druid /op :p when did the add the northrend flames or where they there from the start or the festival ?

Interesting. What are your stats?

I havent seen him doing that much damage, mostly the adds and even then they died really fast with ***. Guess I will go try it later when I am bored but I can't see how it will be that difficult.

Im lvl 38 :( And I am running my virgin toon. You need to be level 50. It was still fun stealing the flame though.. I died a lot, but it was fun.

I did the mission where you turn into a crab last night just before I went to bed, will do the one in Desolace tonight. How much time do we have before the fest is over?

Will I be able to keep the items I get from it (if I dont complete the set).. for the next festival?

Oh yeah.. if you wanna get some quick experience for one of your characters you can get loads of experience quickly by doing the honor the flame quests. The desecrate the flame quests are just as fun :D
 
its a waste of time if you arent planning to do the achievement, [what a strange long journey its been] which rewards a violet proto drake.
 
brewfest indeed. then i can get the mount and stop worrying and feeling obligated to play all the time ;)
