Midweek boredom busting using the web

It is middle of the week and time for something fun. You may already have run into this phenomenon, but on the off chance that you haven’t I want to share something really funny with you. You may have seen or heard about something called the literal music video phenomenon. If you haven’t seen or heard about it then I would like you to consider watching some of the videos I have linked to in this blog post.

The meme started in October last year when Dustin McLean’s re dub of A-Ha’s song “Take on me” was posted on YouTube. It is relatively fresh in other words but there have been some great songs posted online done “literally”. My personal favorite is this song originally done by Bonnie Tyler called “Total eclipse of the heart”.

Most of the videos now finding literal versions are absolutely crap to watch but there are some that are really honestly funny even if they only make you realize how absurd some music videos, especially those in the 80’s, really were!
