MiFi testing?

Hello Afrihost / MyBB ppl

Need some help, my boss got me the afrihost MiFi dongle thing.

Now how can i test its connection because where we live (Seaforth, Cape Town), 3G reception is pretty terrible on my cell.

By that i mean its stability, as i am able to connect, just want to do test to see how stable it is.
Any suggestions?

also, if i were to just have the device, how would i connect? is it limited to afrihost sims and whats the price of data in terms of this device, which can i choose?
