Our Sinotec 32lcd has a couple black lines down the screen after 4yrs of use, still under warranty so we taking it into Game this weekend to be repaired, I hear if it's not repaired after 30days you get a Game voucher?

Anyway we might be in the market for a second TV, currently wont spend more than 6k at the most.

Game has these on special:

Samsung UA40EH5300 40 LED smart TV for R5499

Sony 40 KLV-40bx450 for R3999

LG 42LM34CO 3D 42 LED for R5799
 
should be 21 days iirc
chances are the model is discontinued and sinotec will offer a refund or replacement model without any issue

Thinking of going with this, I was hoping for a slimmer panel by now.
I already have a Sony AMP and the Sony is well priced.

Not really sure about LG, extra 2inches and 3D?

smart tv functions are usually slow and clunky and hardly get updated
thgat said I use my samsung smart bluray player for occasional netflix
 
Checked smart TV apps, all very korny and dull, might keep me busy for 10min.

Things I want would be thin bezel so LED
Will give 3D a skip
