Hi All

Anyone have a telephone number for MTN Retentions department?

I requested this migration from 28th October, have reference numbers and they still do nothing.

They only send emails. They ask questions about why you want to leave and then don't respond after that.

Becoming highly frustrating

I have the EXACT problem. Since 2 October, been handed to multiple people, all saying they dont want to lose me as a customer. Then I say doesn't matter, process the migration, then nothing. Contact them again, escalated to the retentions department....again.

I swear, their retentions department deliberately just procrastinate and hope you forget!

They just called me now, after sending a snotty email to them.

They said it will take 48 hours and I will get a SMS.

Let's see

My mother is having the same problem.... Lots of stories but no action. The retentions callcentre has been closed and is only operating via email now. Very annoying because when I cancelled my MTN contract a while back MTN retentions could migrate it instantly over the phone.....

I phoned them, think it was the 808 number. Told them I wanted to move from contract to prepaid. I got through to a lady that sounded smart and knew what she was doing. Told her what I wanted and why. She said ok, month notice, game me a ref nr. Done.

Seems I was lucky.

Keep that reference number.

I have got the same issue. Called 808, escalated to retentions. They asked the questions and then radio silence.

Called 808 again, and every time get told a different story with a different time frame.

From being someone who was going to stay on MTN I am now likely going to leave for good.

Same here. They could have kept me as a customer. I paid my early termination fee for prepaid. Now I'm genuinely considering just moving to a different provider altogether to avoid their customer "service".

Been with them since 1999
