Migrating from ISDN to ADSL

Hi, my dad wants to switch from isdn to adsl. Telkom have been messing him around big time for the last couple of weeks. They now want him to fax his adsl application to the Telkom IDSN department. To anyone who has successfully switched: Does this sound right?

I went through the process and it was daft - the adsl installer didnt know what to do with the ISDN TA and I had to remove it for him. Still, the switching over was done quite quickly and without hassle so I'm not sure why they're making your dad jump through hoops.
