Migrating to 5.8GHz

Well its been a rough ride on this sorry excuse for a frequency (2.4GHz) due to the eventual over-saturation in this area, but now that ride has stopped and by this w/e ill be on 5.8.... no more dc, no more cr@p signals. Just a hastle free wifi journey :D ( until the day that becomes saturated as well )

That day is nearing sooner than you think. More and more wisps is moving over to 5.8.
 
acidrain do a quick 360 degree scan in Cape Town on 5.8, I'll bet you, you pick up more than 50 SSID's
 
OH, and have a look at the names of the ssid's, it sure as hell isn't private

Guess thats one of the beauties about a cm9... only problem with moving is i need at least 3 guys to help take down the pole so i can change antenna...

But as long as the link is more stable than it is now, im happy.... throughput, as nice as it is, isnt all that important
