Hi, I'm hoping someone on here will be able to clear a question I have.

I moved to the afrihost uncapped 10mb package last week from my telkom account. I confirmed with a few afrihost consultants that all I needed to do was cancel my data package from telkom and select migrate adsl during th registration process. I was specifically advised NOT to cancel the adsl line with telkom.

I now receive an email that my line is still being managed by telkom and I have to cancel it with telkom and then request for this to be migrated.

Is this the normal process?

Thanks in advance.

Just ignore the email. Let Afrihost transfer the line.

You probably signed an adsl contract with Telkom (where you get a free modem) and this contract isn't finished yet. If this is the case, Telkom will not release the line to Afrihost.

Thanks for the detail... I've never signed a contract with Telkom (not that I'm aware of anyway) and definitely did not receive a free modem from Telkom. Also I've had this line for almost 4years now, so even if there was a contract I can't imagine it still being valid.
