Hi Guys

I am wondering if anyone knows if this is available to watch in SA?

If not through official channels, does anyone know how one may go about watching it via via?
 
Yeah, lots of people excited to watch. Not one of them personally, but would also like to know. Attending a mini braai this weekend and the host would like to record if possible.
 
I am not a boxing fan, but have seen some recent clips of Iron Mike training. He should make a comeback in Heavyweight circles again...that guy is an absolute beast!
 
Watched a video of all his knockouts yesterday. He is such an insanely powerful fighter. That combo of the right to the liver and then the right uppercut was just devastating. Will be interesting to see this fight.

I am sure he exercises those jaws of his too! But I am sure having pigeons will have tapered that wild side a bit. But, who knows what will happen when he enters the ring. I give his opponent 2 rounds max.
 
I had Tyson as the obvious win for this, but I've been watching their training videos and Roy Jones Jr. is looking pretty slick. He also last fought in 2018 so he's far fresher.

Who knows if ring rust will be a thing for either of them, but it should be a good spectacle. The promoters are adamant it's an exhibition and the rules state neither fighter will be looking for a knockout. That said, they both have knockout power so I guess we will see.

The card starts at 3:00AM RSA Time but their fight will be between 6:00AM and 7:00AM SA time.

I'm keen to see how they will enforce the no-knockout rules of the exhibition, especially with Tyson involved.

I seriously hope for Jones' sake it does not become a ''real'' fight.

It shows... You expect a 54 year old to go up against the current pro's - half his age.

Legend or not, that's wildly dangerous and a thought that belongs in lalaland.

It's more a rhetorical statement. More like a wish, and idea.
As if I had any say in the matter (to your: "that's wildly dangerous and a thought that belongs in Lalaland"). But do you honestly think I am the only one who thought that after watching him train?
That thought belongs in Lalaland...there was talk of him returning after those videos became public, and made by a lot more people than just me.
Don't be offended with everything you read...

Well from what I understood, they'll obviously be fighting. But where a boxer is hurt or dazed, I think they chill. Much like the Tyson's previous exhibition fight where they step back and let the cover recover his legs rather than chasing the KO.

And anyone who thinks that hasn't and doesn't watch boxing. It's irresponsible and daft.

If you wanted to dream wild thoughts then Roy actually has a far better chance of competing since he last fought in 2018 and not 15 years ago in 2005. Even that's highly irresponsible given his age.

Everyone writing Jones off like he's some kind of mug amateur who's never boxed before...

He's a multi time world champion in 4 different weight classes!

Cool your jets dude, don't take offense! Everyone is free to have an opinion...how you react to it is your choice, but it's a bit ludicrous to, excuse the analogy, come out swinging. Clearly boxing is a big thing for you...big up! Free speech allows anyone else to have an opinion.

The last thing to go on a boxer is their punching power. As a natural heavyweight, Tyson is capable of delivering heavier punches than Jones can.

What boxers lose very quickly is their hand speed and reactions. All things considered, age has deprived Jones of more than Tyson. Throughout his career, Jones relied on his ability to avoid being hit while hitting back. While Tyson also had uncanny speed and mobility for his size, it was very much his power and ability to finish opponents that became his defining trait. Tyson could also take punches from monstrous heavyweights.

Ignoring all the trash talk and slow-mos in this clip, just look at the size of Tyson's legs. A boxer generates and leverages the bulk of their punching power through their legs. This is a naturally strong human, even at his age.


All the above said, it isn't a ''real'' fight, but if it does get a little spicy, Jones will get hurt.
