For more than a decade Mike has been tireless in transforming the SA telecoms sector, having been past chairman of the Communication Users Association of South Africa (CUASA) and of the SA Value Added Network Service (VANS) Providers Association (SAVA).
He remains the Vice-Chairman for Africa of the International Telecommunications User Group (INTUG) headquartered in Brussels, a position he was elected to in 1998. In 2001, Mike was nominated as one of the Top 5 Finalists for the Computer Society of South Africa's IT Personality of the Year award.
Mike holds a B. Comm. degree (with distinction) from the University of South Africa.
