No luck. Can't even net boot the thing since it expects the pc to be on eth1,and the cpu receives no traffic from those ports :-(
I think this ****er is doa. I imagine I'll have to ship it back...
Perhaps try routing?

Why are the vlan id's on the 1gb ports set to auto and the 100mb to 0? I think you should set them all to 0.
Sinbad reset the mikrotik with the command: system reset no defaults=yes
This will remove that crap slave master setup. Then add a bridge, with ports 1-9 added to the bridge. Add an ip to the bridge, dhcp server, ip pool. Then use ether10 for the pppoe client for the adsl modem, add default route as ticked and use peer dns as ticked. Then add a src nat masquarade rule and it should all be working.
Yea, this will probably fix the problem.
Well the 2011 has two separate switch banks. Maybe the one is stuffed. So you cannot even mac winbox to it via a gb port with no config? My config is OK with everything except the gig ports. WLAN clients and 100mb clients can see the internet fine.
The problem is the cpu does not receive any traffic from the gig ports at all. Even with a blank config.
(yes, I changed the password)
When I try and ping a machine on a gig port from a machine on the 100mb ports, I can see the arp requests going out the gig port via torch, but I never see any replies come in. I only ever see tx packets.
Tried with multiple cables and multiple PCs.
The master/slave setup isn't crap - you need it to do wire-speed switching.

Crap one, installed thousands of mikrotiks, never had a doa issue like that.Correct. Can only winbox on a 100mb port. I think the gig switch chip is farked.
Why did you not get one from scoop or miro?and the worst is I imported this, so I suspect i'm gonna have to courier it back to bloody latvia :/

Cheaper.
Well, supposedly cheaper. Was cheaper until it broke.![]()
Nope. Packets don't reach the bridge from the gig ports at all.
No firewall or mangle rules.
Sorry I mean instead of bridging just manually route the traffic over. So have 2 separate subnets ( wlan and 100mb ports on a large range then gb ports on say a /28 ) then just static route.
