MikroTik Training

That seems like quite a lot for 5 days compared to the 3 day basic training course that I took. I didn't take it from Miro though.

I'm not sure if it will help you commercially, but it will most definitely help you understand setups that 3rd parties may/will do for you.

I've never used MikroTik's in a commercial way, so please wait for other people to give their views too.
Perhaps you should contact Miro about it too.

I just found that with the basic training course that I did, that I knew most of the stuff already from the things that I read on the Wiki pages. However, I've wasted a lot of my time trying to figure things out, where as if I would've just spent that R3k earlier, I would've saved myself a lot of time.

Lastly, what kind of network training/background do you have already and how are your MikroTik skills?

Where does MikroTek fit in with other products, is it for longe range wireless ?

MikroTik equipment is extensively used for WUGs (Wireless User Groups), and also to as an alternative to the expensive Cisco routers.

MikroTik routers are also very nice for running wireless hotspots, like in hotels/guest houses.

You basically get enterprise class routers at a fraction of the cost.

WinBox (or web interface configuration in v5.10+) makes the configuration of the MikroTik routers just so much easier than to work in the console like you have to do with Cisco.
