https://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?t=126294What does the automotive connector look like from the car end?
I just plug the DC jack into the car's lighter socket
So I just wire that router straight up to the battery then
Haven't tried it, but considering it doesn't specify the inputs anywhere, it will be better to rather not do that, but rather using a DC jack like you currently do. I see its 9V to 30V, so maybe it should be ok on either 12V or 24V?So I just wire that router straight up to the battery then
Yes and no. The wAP-LTE has an automotive connector, the LtAP doesn't. Seems like the wAP-LTE will be better for automotive use then?Wouldn't this work better for a car ?

LtAP mini has a special enclosure with a wall mounting kit, two SIM slots to alternate between cellular providers, and integrated GPS support, making this a perfect device for use in moving vehicles like cars, buses or trains. External GPS antenna is available for ordering separately (not included, product code ACGPSA).
Doesn't matter same physical power connector DC, but the WAP lte has the automotive connector that you can wire directly to the battery from the glove box.Wouldn't this work better for a car ?

Maybe a dumb question but I got the wAP-LTE from Scoop but this thing will not read my sim. I have tried dif sims that work in other LTE routers.
Any assistance please
