My wife got a R300 gift voucher. She went to the store and ask them to add the money to her account. You cannot do that. So they told her to buy something, eg R290 and lose the R10. Or buy for R250 and loose R50. It does not sound to fresh to me.
I know game gift you a card with money on, you keep the money, even it there is R5 on it. Milady does not seem right.

That's ridiculous, have you contacted their head office?

I'd make a complaint on Hellopeter, the shops often respond.

It’s sounds fair that you can’t add a voucher to your account. Some stores gives discounts on vouchers. So if they don’t have the rule. You can buy their whole store with R100 provided you buy the voucher at a discounted rate load the full voucher onto your account and repeat the cycle.

Does "add the money to her account" mean use a gift voucher to pay off a store account? If so, I think that most stores don't allow that.

If though they are saving that if you buy for less than the value of the voucher then you lose the balance, that is crap.
