True but I think it's easy for "us" to say that because we have internet, education etc, I think there are millions of people in this country that have neither.

Perfect recipe for credulity, all you need is some idiot in parliament with good charisma to lead them, which seems scary to me.

Religious folk who see nothing incongruous about believing in stuff like a 6000 year old earth, wine/bit of wafer or a three day old corpse returning to the social scene.

I must admit to being filled with admiration for the witchdoctor, who displayed a deviousness worthy of the best of our preachers, politicians or lawyers, when he dreamed up the idea of the rabbit which not only gave him a perfect out whatever happened but actually seems to have enhanced his reputation.

Here is a thought, taking the statements into consideration and the facts and weather it is because of lack of education, belief or what ever - I ask you how the f__ck can these people be given the right to vote if this is their intellect? The ANC loves it of course because this is where their votes come from but FFS.
 
All of this is making me thinking now... Let's take parliament.... Do they have sangomas in there giving muti to all politicians? (I heard there were some time ago, but I am not sure). Are they also told not to kill/eat rabbits or cats or mice for the muti to work? Or, do some of them do it despite the warnings? Are all politicians taking the muti or only some? WTF?
 
Saw Sky's coverage.

Have to say that I found it excruciatingly embarrassing as a South African to see grown men discuss how muti would have protected them from bullets and gave them the confidence to face police armed with guns.

When you look at coverage of conflicts in other parts if the world, people are crouching behind cover, despite their own fundamentalism and beliefs. They aren't stupid when it comes to the shooting.

While in SA.......
 
Last time I checked it's the 21st century. Now I an not convinced any more /wanders off to the airstrip looking for aliens.
