Does anyone know where I could buy any of these: Sony PC1000, Sony PC330, or Sony PC350. They have discontinued making the pc range and I so im not sure where to find these. Does anyone know what sort of price I could expect to pay?

Or is there anything else in this price range that is available? The main thing is that it needs to be of a similar physical size,...I cant go for the HD cams because of their size (long story).

Also,....are those 3 camera's all similar in price? If they are still available that is.

Thanks

umh.... what price range

I got mine last year, Paid R 2.9k for it. No idea what they worth now

lol,...no its nothing dodgy. It just needs to be of a similar size to the PC1000 because I need to mount it in a holder which is already made for my previous camera that is now broken. So I dont want to have to shell out for another one if possible.

But im not really looking for an hc28. Id ideally like to find a pc1000, pc350 or pc330 if possible. But like I said, im not having much luck. Pitbull,...what cam was that you got for R2900?

I'm gona have to go check the actual specs.

It's a Handycam - uses the small dvd discs. Will check the model tonight and post it.

don't take the sony hc28. i returned mine. picture was noisy. go for the canon md120. great qualilty and it's R200 more than the sony at makro

why would you want to go for something that's discontinued anyway

you could check www.sacamera.co.za. they also have a store in cape town.

I got mine in Singapore... for free... I was actually paid for it

Funny story actually, the store dude showed me one (decent model), then gave me a the correct box (sealed) with a different video camera in. I only opened it when I was back in Australia, I was so pissed, sent an email to the Singapore Tourism board, they investigated, made him refund me, and give me $100 as compensation. Took a whole two weeks to complete.

Imagine if they had service like this in SA

the key word is "imagine" :)

Not likely, there's more money in dishonesty than honesty.

Back on topic... I never use the damn camera... occasionaly I take it out to play with, but thats it... photo's are much easier.

i recently got my camera and i hardly use it either, but i do want to start using it now. it's more of a novelty/toy than a necessity.

Yeh, I usually use it only for things photo's can't capture, like my father burning down the kitchen, or a bushfire seriously threating my residence... the amusing stuff :p
