Mini extended warranty cost

A 3 year service plan for Minis is a bit on the low side. How much does it cost to get the Follow On extended warranty? I've heard R1500 per each additional year, and I've heard R16000 for the same. Anyone purchase extended warranty recently?

They calculate it on a per-car basis, so you'll have to call BMW to get a price for your car.

thats about right. I got a quote of about R2000 for an extra year (no mileage increase), and approximately R1 per km for any increase...
