Hi

Looking at building a mini-ITX system for my fiance. Struggling to find some good options at a reasonable price here in South Africa. There were 2 Asus options over R2K each! Way too expensive.

What other options are there? Needs to support Intel Socket 1155 Sandy Bridge CPU and a PCI-Express x16 slot.

Thanks

There are many micro-ATX Socket 1155 boards, but they're bigger than the mini-ITX ones.

You should be able to player older games with the build that I suggested, which included CPU, motherboard, RAM, PSU & case for under R2000 and it can all be sourced locally. The AMD E350 supports DirectX 11, but it is of course not as fast as a dedicated HD7770 for instance.

Why would you want to go for such a small motherboard for a gaming PC!?
Could you perhaps tell us what your budget is or what case, graphics card, PSU and CPU you intended on installing?
