Mint 13 and Ubuntu 12.04

Hello

Does anybody have these on DVD/CD? I can't download them here on a 20kb/sec cell network.
I have a friend in Jhb at the moment who can bring them down for me.
Any help will be much appreciated.

It says you're lost, but maybe you can give us an indication of where you are, to know if we can help!
 
Is it worthwhile though? Just installed Mint 13 alongside Win 7 a few days ago, and it downloaded a good couple of 100mb during installation. Many, many packages updated from the versions on the .iso.

Yeah, but in order to save time, a direction (bearing) would be useful.

It could still be worthwhile, to a degree. At least for Ubuntu, because they released 12.04.1 recently, so newer build.

Mint 13's based on Ubuntu 12.04... Both LTS releases.

Anyhat, OP I have Mint 13 and Ubuntu 12.10 ISOs - both 32 & 64 bit - on my lappie. I can pop them onto a DVD for you, or even dl the 12.04 you're after, but I just doubt the ultimate usefulness of the exercise...
 
I too doubt having the ISO will save much bandwidth. I recently (a week or 2 ago) reinstalled Ubuntu 12.04.1 from ISO, and had to download upwards of 300MB worth of updates. If you really want it I'm in the Pretoria area so I can easily burn it if you want to pick it up. Drop me a PM if you want it.

Where are you? depending on your location we could possibly point you to alternate sources for the ISOs. You could always run the updates at a place with wi-fi if it's for a laptop or if it's a desktop and you have access to a laptop with wi-fi there are tools to download the required packages via another windows or linux pc.
 
I use synaptic to mark all updates and save as download script..... then I simply use Gedit to remove the wget and leave the URIs then use a download manager like free download manager in the internet cafe and download all packages
