I am waiting to test the 700 as well as the Eten X 500 ... both device run mobile 5.0 with built in GPS ...
I am getting these devices during the course of next week ... So i will keep you posted ..

Looks cool, but the data connectivity is a let down.

Now, if only they could shoe-horn a GPS into a HTC TyTn that would be ideal .... wait they already have.

Can't remember the link, but it is what I am waiting for.

Edit: Bollocks ! Seems the HTC also only has GPRS & Edge.

I think cost for one has a big role to play ... People dont want to pay the chip in fee for the TyTN as it is .. now add in GPS and the device cost escalates ..

Also the device has to be practical ... Built-in GPS combined with a high speed data connection will be very demanding on the battery ... The battery life will be non-existent

jeez u seem to know alot..any idea who has the eten x500 in stock?

only upsideof the mio a700 is that it comes bundled with the handymap software

I've seen justmobile.co.za have it in stock now. I prefer to support the forum users though. Well, that's assuming I can afford it in the first place....
