How is it that no one finds this interesting?

So do you want your cookie now or later op?

personally i prefer my set to be unobstructed and on display, proper cable management is key as well.

nice work in any case :)

Chocolate chip please, the cables at the bottom is the wife's hair dryer and straightener that sits in the drawer not for the tv

You just beating your chest now dude.
I mean seriously now.

Its not about beating my chest(maybe a little) just thought other people might like the idea and try something like this, its all about the sharing.

was that a one way mirror? or some film placed over glass? also, could you be a bit specific with how you mounted the lcd/mirror combo together without it being visible under scrutiny? the other chap used silicone sealant, but I have a feeling this would be visible once the tv was on...like an odd border around the screen...

I used 1 way mirror although some people call it 2 way mirror but its the same thing. The tv is mounted against the wall on a low profile (35mm) lcd bracket and the box is mounted against the wall on its own. The only place where the tv and box touch is against the back of the mirror but they are not fixed to each other. I used vinyl adhesive sheet to black out the back of the mirror outside the screen area.

Just to clarify I build a box out of 115mm wide (same width as tv + bracket) 22mm thick pine wood to the same outside dimension of the mirror. The mirror and the box sits within the recess of the frame, the frame is fixed to the box by 6 small brackets on the outside 2 top 2 bottom and 1 left and right. These brackets keeps the frame fixed to the box with the mirror clamped in between. I drilled a 40mm hole in the bottom centre of the box for the cables and 5no 25mm holes 3 top 2 bottom for sound and heat transfer.
