M.Plain is quite a vast area with a population of 400 000 people according to the 2001 census. Latest indications estimate population at close to 700 000. It is a very well isolated area with various quick access escape routes to national and other high way roads.
Furthermore, M.Plain could be called the Tik capital of the Western Cape housing many many addicts, distributors and manufacturers.
Unemployment is very high as well.
If missing children in this area has anything to do with human trafficking, then M.Plain would not only be the ideal area logistically but also ideal for getting recruits assisting in the process.

All the things you mentioned are factors in the high rate of disappearances - the geographical nature of the place, the high incidence drug/alcohol abuse and other socio-economic factors.

Based on what did they draw that conclusion ?
Ongoing murders, criminal psychologists & profilers etc. The whole was entirely SA based and not one of those US sensationalist tinfoil hat things.

There will always be more murders. C'est la vie. What does that have to do with Simons? Just because he is incarcerated, does not mean nobody else will ever be murdered.
Similar murders, mo etc. Watch it rather & draw your own conclusions.
