To turn the public broadcaster around, former communications minister Khumbudzo Ntshavheni said that the ANC supports scrapping TV licences altogether in favour of a general household media levy.

Giving the SABC will not "turn it around". It will just mean more money for the cadres to steal.

Actual leadership and a feasible plan is what is needed to turn the SABC around. But that requires the ANC actually doing something other than milking tax payers even more.

Before reading this article I didn't know that the unpronounceable minister was ousted, and replaced by someone that appears to have undergone a significant lobotomy procedure or was in a serious head-on collision.

The unpronounceable minister is now the Minister of Poo-In-A-Tin.
