Missing Post

I ordered a tie from Amazon on the 7th of August, luckily not an expensive one. I specified a physical address because I assumed the item was going to be couriered but the item was sent with regular post. Its nearly 2 months later and I still haven received the item. I have a USPS tracking number, but tracking stopped when the item left the USA.

Is there a way to find out where the item is or who has the item? I tried going to my local POST OFFICE but they weren't able to find anything there.

Is it possible the item could be stuck at customs? How would I find this out?

Phone the main center and ask for the RSA tracking number?

Get the RSA Tracking number by giving the Mail Center the international tracking number
