Missing power supply for printer - what now?

i recently bought a printer from a friend, and the thing is missing the power supply. Is there some place I can order it from or request?

Good luck with that. I've had a wanted ad in this forums classifieds for a good few months with zero response, and yes they're expensive items seperately (as in cost as much as the printer does). Ask your friend or get your money back.

Get the make and model, find the manual online, read what power supply specs are, then go to electronics store and ask for a generic.

What I have done before is go to the distributors of that specific type of printer and ask them to buy a second hand power supply from one the returned / broken printers that people have brought back.
