Hey guys

This is starting to annoy me:mad:, now and again my va;ve caps go missing? When the fisrt one disappeared, I replaced it with the spare wheel VC, now I just found out that another VC is missing?

I really think this is the work of Petrol Attendants:mad: (they do stuff in haste and dont usually fasten the VC tight).

Can one just buy extra VCs? If so where can I get them.

Thanks guys

Midas will have, as would any other automotive shop. I've lost so many... I'm on my third pack of replacements, but is cheap though, like R5 or something for 4 plain plastic ones.

Also, I agree with you on the attendants, except I usually do it myself, and then forget to replace it......

[EDIT] BTW, If you park your car in the street or something, maybe steer clear of those fancy metal caps. I had those, and they got stolen on campus............ Eish....

Midas you say, not sure if there's one on my route to and from work. Will just have to check. What about your Tiger Wheel n Tyre and other alike?

Oh, I just want those good old black (plastic) ones - no fancy stuff.

Thanks btw.

Since @FiestaST revived this thread, what I usually do when I ever have to replace tyres or have a leak repaired, I wander around at the working bay and collect all the valve caps that's usually laying around on the floor. You'd be surprised at how many you can collect in one go. At home I just chuck it on a container for future use when I discover missing caps on my car's tyre valves.

I was actually at Malas last week to install tyres and noticed that the techs actually after removing tyres from vehicle, they remove valves and caps then drop them on the floor.

Need to go again and will up more caps for spares.

I always double check at the service station after the air is check to make sure its tight

I caught the kids in the complex stealing mine one replaced it and put the fear of god into them never happened again.

Had it too. Finally bought a pack of 500 and i just replace them as needed now.

Yeah just buy a bunch and keep them as spares, they're cheap.

Can't be scratching around on the floor like you're looking for entjies.

Be glad if they only steal the valve caps. Had some f***er steal the chrome trim off my car's right rear window at work recently.
