Mitsubishi Outlander

Which year, or brand new? Auto is CVT... so, beware of high mileage, second hand. The older 2.4L is thirstier than most.

Nea, will be used. I'd say anything 2007+ I'll prefer to buy it cash. So sub R 100k. The prices seem to look very good in relation to what you'll be getting.

You are getting a lot of car, however, the CVT box on the Outlander is First generation, and, as such is a bit of a dog. They also tend to be heavy on fuel - all depends on what you are looking for in the end, however.

It's such a nice car, got mine in 2014 at 105k, a 2007 auto. I'm now used to the consumption but it can be controlled if you watch your right foot, it's comfortable and good sound system. Parts are a little bit expensive and not readily available with average waiting period of one week. I managed to get a supplier in China, they deliver in 4 days at a reasonable price and they supply both genuine and Chinese made. I will be happy to hear your experiences as well.

Mitsubishi Outlander facelift released for SA

The Mitsubishi Outlander facelift with the current Dynamic Shield design update has finally been released to the South African market after being revealed sometime last year. The changes made to this facelift are the exterior design and some interior components as well as a refined CVT.

The ASX also went through similar treatment not too long ago but it looks like the Outlander has been given a more extensive treatment as the entire front seems to be reshaped and lathered with chrome trimmings and LED headlamps and redesigned taillamps.

The proportions of the interior have not changed in the Outlander but it has been given a few extra features. One noticeable addition to the cabin is the Rockford Fosgate nine speaker system powered by a 710 W eight-channel amp and subwoofer.

Occupants can redirect the sound to the cordless infrared headphones when they decide to make use of the nine-inch roof-mounted LCD fold-down screens placed in the second and third rows. Features that remain are the customisable multi-function steering wheel, touchscreen infotainment system, glass roof and dual-zone climate control.

The 2,4-litre four-cylinder MIVEC petrol engine remains in the Outlander with its 123 kW and 222 N.m power output, delivered to all four wheels through the all-new INVECS-III CVT with a six-step sports mode.

The Outlander facelift will cost R549 900 and come along with a three-year/100 000 km warranty and five-year/90 000 km service plan.

2020 Mitsubishi Outlander | This Was Not Easy - savagegeese

We review the not so new Mitsubishi Outlander Sport in a video that focuses on the good and bad of an affordable yet flawed SUV.

We talk about the technical parts of the under-body along with why you would consider this among other products like the Nissan Rogue, Hyundai Kona, Honda HRV, Mazda CX30 and Toyota RAV4.
