Mixed reaction to e-toll ruling

The Supreme Court’s dismissal of Outa’s challenge against e-tolls was welcomed by the transport department, but Cosatu vowed to continue the fight.

The transport department wanted e-tolls to be introduced all along? No ****ing ways! You are having me on...

Tell me something: if we take the Department of [-]*******s[/-] Transport's opinion out of the equation is it still a "mixed" reaction.

I hope this is going to blow up in their face come election time. I will be participating publicly against the e-tolls at next year's elections.

The courts ruling effectively means that if the government manages to spend a lot of money, over a long time, on a project about which they misinform the public or are silent, it will be OK because it cannot be reversed.

Yep I've been lax on voting, voted for the ANC just because it was convenient but come next election I'll be actively lobbying for everyone I meet to not vote for them because of the rampant corruption and determination to completely ignore public opinion and instead continue to push the corrupt system into being.

I hope the ANC pays severely at the polls next year for this criminal toll system and until then I will not pay a single cent for e-tolls if they want it from me they will have to stop me at a roadblock and give me an arrest warrant, and yes I will be using the highways still because they can suck it, they make minor improvements to a previously free to use road and then charge exorbitant collection costs for it.

You want my money scamral stop me at a roadblock and beg me for it otherwise I'm not paying a cent and I'm not getting e-tagged like an animal.:)

Wow, who would have guessed? Would it still be a mixed reaction if you exclude these turds?

Struggle 1.0 has been against the racist apartheid government.

Struggle 2.0 will be against the corrupt ANC.

So you voted for this and now you're complaining?
What do you mean "convenient"? The box was closer to the top of the page so you had less reading to do?

They got rid of apartheid hence why I supported them, things have changed and times have changed, the last decent phase of the ANC was when they had an intellectual leadership structure under Thabo Mbeki, ever since then its gone to the dogs, literally.I mean people like Zuma and Malema kicked him out and brought in new era of rubbish.

The ANC is not worth supporting anymore.

I cant say I trust the DA they seem very fake but what other choice do we have there is no other strong opposition that can take on the idiots like Zuma and his croonies. For this election we will have to vote for the DA if we want democracy to work for our country as a whole.

I don't get the the "convenience" either. Maybe it was easier to spell?

Please, I'd love to know: what's "fake" about the DA?
