Hi to everyone.
I have a problem at home that's driving me nuts. I hope somebody can lead me in the right direction.
Quick summary:
I have 3 DSTV Exploras, 1 OVHD and 1 Starsat decoders at my home. 1 DSTV explora, the OVHD and Starsat decoders is in my main living room and they are connected to my tv via a Monoprice 5 to 1 HDMI switcher.
The other 2 DSTV Explora's is in 2 separate rooms and is also connected to the main tv with a balum HDMI over cat 6 setup.
The problem I'm having is that the minute I connect 1 of the Explora's from the other rooms to the HDMI switcher, my OVHD and Starsat signal goes off.
All the decoders work 100% if I plug them straight into the tv. 2 Explora's, OVHD and Starsat works fine through the switcher, but as soon I plug the last decoder into the switcher, OVHD and Starsat shows no signal.
If I plug the 3 explora's into the switcher, everything works 100%
Is it possible that there is a voltage problem between DSTV's LNB and that of OVHD and Starsat?
The latter works from a twin LNB on the dish that's aligned for Starsat.
