Mixing Ram ddr3 this a good idea?

So this is what I have.



So I got this pc in 2011 with 4gb of the above ram... Now I have ordered http://www.wootware.co.za/kingston-...mhz-ddr3-cl10-240pin-1-5v-desktop-memory.html its a one 8GB stick.


When it comes I am going to just stick it with the old ram for total op 12GB of ram

Now will it work will the pc post!?

Yes, will work fine. The ram will just run at the lower of the 2 speeds.

I am still speculating. As I have heard that fem times even the same model ram can be full of ****.That is why you rather buy kits. But I had no choice at the time
