Wanted to buy HD decoder, but some say stuff on MNET HD is not fully HD and are ripping people off.
I will wait a bit and see if they sort out their problems if it is true.
But question is why will the test a HD channel with normal content like MK. MK=SD not HD

In the United States, 1080p broadcasts as of yet do not exist; all major networks use either 720p60 or 1080i60 encoded with MPEG-2, and the consumer televisions currently do not support codecs needed to support 1080p50 or 1080p60.
Its 720p.... not 1080 but it still looks good!
Actually they broadcast in 1080i (which is more like 576p), but are planning to broadcast in 720p in the future
It is actually 720p... and 1080i is more comparable to 720p than 576p.
Sorry. Checked it out. It is 1080i now. Used to be 720p. The two standards are very similar though.
Well. They say 1080i for sport, 720p for movies... For me 720p is the better standard.
Yes. I am in the industry. Technical at one of the equipment suppliers.
