I have a Sumvision Cyclone MKV Enclosure, virtually the same as a Mede8er. I have a lot of MKV files, and checked them all on the PC, all play perfect. On the player, they are all fine, except for one, which changes to green blocks on most of the screen. Audio is all fine. All of them are either 720 or 1080p, and its not the TV, checked it on another screen, same result.

What could be the problem?

Maybe your media8or isn't piracy compatible?

:p

Had a similar thing with a 1080 mkv - played fine on the PC, but not on the Mede8er - turned out that the encoding was not standard... got a different copy

You can try extracting the MKV with MKVExtract GUI. Have a look at what is in the MKV. I have found that MKV's that have unnecessary stuff for the players such as chapters and extra fonts can cause problems. So then just remux it again with MKVMerge Gui, muxing only the video file, audio file, and subtitle file if you have/need/want it. This may solve your problem, otherwise you will need to recode the video track again or download another rip.
