really, what of ? - did I mention anything about shame ?
If you want to go for this, that's entirely up to you - I've got no beef with that - it's nothing to do with me. I was making a comment about humanity in general related to this topic.
I'm amazed because although we're supposed to be able to spot these scams a mile away, so often we don't want to - we wan't to believe in this easy money !
We wan't to believe so bad, we ignore the warning signs.
Do a bit more of a deep search about this company and check the opinions - it all leads to a totally obvious conclusion - scam.
You signed up with an email and your bank account number. That's enough data for them to get a LOT of information about you should they want to.
Take this example - if you have the balls to do it, you can walk into a bank with any old print out and an account number and with a bit of savvy, get the details of the account and the owner. Try it. I know this because I went to a bank and asked for the balance of my company account without them knowing who I was - I was totally legit, I had a right to see the balance - but they didn't question me or ask for any ID and they gave me printouts of the account details.
My extreme paranoid side says that this is a very clever scam that goes beyond mere email address harvesting - which is so easy anyway - and goes into the realm of getting bank account details as well. A list of this nature would be worth far far more than a list of a few million emails.
Just my 2cents
EDIT: Out of curiosity, I checked there CGI form and found that you can enter the biggest bunch of bogus information you want - all my country and currency details were different and not one thing was checked server side.
[email protected] will be getting his affiliate number any day soon, his money will be paid into an account in Tonga, in Swiss Francs (naturally). He resides in Afganistan and the main topic of his site is Accessories -> Handbags ! - damn, Frodo Baggins will be rich ! [
