Good day gamers

Complements of the seasons to you. I recently watch sword art online and the second season and I wanted to play some MMO again..

I use to play Mabinogi, but lost my account and password so I couldn't get back in. I would start again, but that would be the Asian server...

So I just want to ask if anyone know anything similar to Mabinogi? That is based this side of the world? Cause I wouldn't want to be lagging my lungs out.

Thank you

Kind regards

Blade and Soul is laggy as hell for me playing any quick combat class it lagged with Blade Dancer, and Blade Master so yeah you will only be able to play something like summoner even on EU Servers

it seems laggy for me as well, just downloaded it about half an hour ago. The game itself isn't lagging (as in fps drops), just takes half a second for anything to happen when e.g. interacting with objects.

Yea that's a problem... Cause when I played Mabinogi it was laggy.. And that really spoiled the game

Well, got an assassin and a blade master to 11 now, pretty fun. Sometimes it runs perfectly, no lag, other times you are just stuck in one spot for 2/3 seconds and keep getting hit.
I lowered the resolution to 900p instead with all graphics on medium, hasn't made a difference. (running on a GTX960M), changed it all back to max again.
The game is fine/fun most of the time, just sometimes the lag annoys. Of course I am in Cape Town, so it must be hell to play for those in Jo'burg.

I downloaded it, now just playing... I think there is a bit of lag... I hope to just temp :)

Lol, I think Wow is a little exp for me.. for a month subscription fees and all.

I just want to ask, which server is better to play on? NA or EU? I see there is only two. On Dota I did play on EU, but not sure if it makes a difference this side?

Thanks in the advance

EU, the latency for NA is quite a bit more (100ms+). (hopping from Europe to NA, so adding another transatlantic trip to the route)

For WoW I would suggest playing WotLK, warmane or dalaran-wow (rather go for the latter, better scripting). Vanilla is boring :p. MoP isn't that great and Cata is terrible.
WoW is less "interactive", as in less lag in general with a near no dodging mechanisms that are extremely latency intensive. I can play with lag spikes n.p. most of the time.
If the lag in Blade and Soul is bad for you, try playing Guild Wars 2, I have near no lag there and it is pretty similar with a lot more classes.

(I would always suggest playing any MMO with a friend you already know, or just start teaming up with random people at the starting area. Don't be afraid to chat to random people, the point of an MMO is that there are others that you can quest with)

EDIT: And for Blade and Soul, the game really starts properly at 18+. WoW properly starts at about 15+. Guild Wars I can't remember :D

The link I posted is a free server.. The community is excellent. It's pretty much a replica of blizzard servers.

Vanilla isn't boring :p. So much fun and very very community driven. Pve server is excellent. People actually take it seriously unlike the other servers.

Wotlk takes the interaction out of the game with automated group finding etc.

Lol, do you mean rdf? You can still spam global about it, but it makes it a lot easier to find a group. (talking about WotLK)
You still have to spam global/get into a raiding guild for end game PvE content.

By that i mean, it finds you a group automatically, it teleports you to the instance automatically, you do your instance and you leave, never speak to or see that person again.

Vanilla, you form your group, run to the dungeon (yes it takes longer) but you speak to people in the mean time and have meaningful interaction.
Anyway each to his own. Nostalrius scripting is fantastic (It is about 99% close to retail), community take the game seriously (Raiding etc.) and the PVE server atm has almost perfect population (3k during peak hours).
PvP server has almost 10k online and for vanilla... that is just waaaaaaaaaay to much.

There's nothing really the OP can lose, just check it out ;) its only a 5gb client.

Apparently the input delay you're experiencing has something to do with non-windows '3rd party' processes running on your pc

Try disabling all non-MS processes in Task Manager, restart internet connection and relaunch the game...

If this doesn't help/reduce the delay, then it's purely down to your internet connection to the server

BnS picks up from level 10ish in my opinion and continues gathering momentum at 20, 36, 45 intervals. I've yet to finish the story though so I can't comment on how good/bad it is

I was extremely disappointed when they removed the LFG channel at the end of Vanilla because that meaningful interaction was so rewarding (becoming a well known player on the server), however looking back;

Getting a group together for 1 of many Maraudon instances (3 iirc ranging from 35 to 45) was no where nearly as painful as trying to actually find the correct instance in that hole of a zone that was Desolace

It's my net to their servers and their servers as well. I don't have lag most of the time, when peak time starts happening on the server it starts having those delays, was playing the game with some friends in Germany/Austria and Bulgaria and they all had the same problem.

They are releasing a ton of fixes for server stability though, so I'm hoping.

Didn't someone just create their own LFG channel? /join lfg and it should create a group like that (at least it was like that on Molten/Warmane/Dalaran-wow during WotLK and MoP). You can actually pick whatever name you'd like.

@poffle, why can't you speak anyways? RDF just makes it so you don't have that large time to begin with, you can still chat to everyone during the instance.

I was talking from an official wow player's perspective on the LFG transition to RDF

There were custom channels created in attempts to revive the community but after a couple weeks, everyone just gave up and started using the RDF.

I don't think you get what i'm trying to say. Sorta like this;
Wotlk interaction in general = Work colleague small talk - Meaningless and you will never see them again when you leave
Vanilla Interactions = Friend conversation - You will make friends and group with them for a long long time.

This is outside of your guild.

Lol, I made a lot of friends while questing/running RDF/pugging in WotLK, still talk to some of them on Skype today and it's been about 3 years since I last played on WoW with them.
It's not really very different beyond the lack of need to spam LFG (Which some do anyways) and being instantly teleported to the dungeon.

This is all based on personal opinion/one's own experiences of course.
