This is rather interesting... and useful (although the title may be a bit misleading) - GameOgre lists 22 "free" MMORPGs that don't require a monthly fee to play (although in all likelihood, you still have to buy the hard copy). Unlike, say, a game like World of Warcraft, which requires you to purchase a copy *and* pay a monthly fee.

In the end, the monthly fee that WoW players are required to pay may prove to be the game's Achilles' Heel, simply because Blizzard is not coming out with enough new content to justify paying them 200 bucks a month.

If you take the amount of users that plays on the servers, the time it takes to admin it, staff etc. I reckon its worth paying for it.

Blizzard, not like Ultima Online, brings out new content constantly. However, you should keep in mind they try and be as thorough as possible in testing the stuff they do bring out before releasing it.

Blizzard = Quality

And you pay for quality
