thanks - but i did and i get told i have a pre-owned imate and wont let me go any further... any other ideas?

Go to the "FAQ and Download" section and choose your model Imate and service provider from the list, follow the instructions to install.

I'm looking for the GPRS settings for the SP3i as well. Can anyone help me? I can't seem to find them on the Leaf site.

Try creating an account on imate.com and then going to the support pages for the SP3i. I tried to get it for you but I dont have the SP3i so I cant get the support files.
