Are these meant to automatically download? I hardly ever get them but over the time i have had my Nexus One of the 3 or so I have received I just get a notification and have to go to the MTN site to view.

As far as I can tell MMS settings are setup on my phone
Code:
Name - MTN ZA MMS
APN - myMTN
Username - mtnmms
Password - Starred out. I assume it's correct
MMSC - http://mms.mtn.co.za/mms/wapenc
MMS Proxy - 196.11.240.241
MMS Port - 8080
MCC - 655
MNC - 10
Authentication type - Not Set
APN type - mms

Neither the Android messaging app, Handcent nor Go SMS seem to show it. Is there something else I am meant to do?

does everyone elses mms work? or are people not bothered with it?

Sitting with the same prob mate, for quite a while now. I'm using FNB as my data provider on the phone and the Vodacom MMS settings does not work with it. Always just get a general failure whenever anyone sends me a mms.

silly question... are you using apndroid or anything else that blocks data use?
I was using those and had all kinds of hassles on my droid. It could also be the network doesnt have you marked as mms enabled and are sending you notifications instead.

Noticed the same today..
I'm on mtn but using the fnb apn..
Could not send a mms until i changed the apn to mtn..
