is it possible to get MNET as a stand-alone channel with free channels on a DSTV decoder with taking the DSTV bouquets. I currently have a Comcrypt 4000 MNET decoder and the picture quality isn't too good, it sometimes looses signal on MNEt or sometimes just flashes error codes such as "E4" or something like that. Last night there was no MNET signal halfway during "Joey" at 7:15pm then again, a few minutes after smallville and throught CSI.

I had mine like that for a wile, but that was a few years ago. I don't see y they woulda changed it. Just give them a call and they should be able to tell you

Nope I don't think that is possible.

Check with MultiChoice and let us know...

Does anybody know how to make a decoder work without it being activated. I have an old one and i want m-net for a second tv, but i'm not keen on the whole cable thing. Does anybody have any ideas or diagrams?

Do you mean h@ck decoder? That was possible many years ago. Not possible anymore....well if you manage to get it right I would pay the asking price for a bulk order to service my old clients still nagging me after many years :)

Good luck but I think you wasting your time as their new system seems pretty secure.
