MnetHD started out broadcasting with excellent HD picture quality last year but since then the picture quality has deteriorated to the point that it is just like watching upscaled SD content :(

Many of you may have noticed that MnetHD is no longer in fact genuine HD. This problem was highlighted on dstv.com by a forum user known as 'Mavado' and at first it seemed as though Multichoice were taking the problem seriously. Well, I am disappointed to report that his latest thread update reports that Multichoice have stopped updating him and no progress has been made as regards the picture quality.

His latest thread update follows:

^^^This was the last time I heard from them. My phone calls are not even being returned anymore. It's just the Robotic email "Still under investigation" I receive from them, no progress report, not even a verbal or written acknowledgement about the problem they are having. As far as Im concerned, "Under investigation" in this regard simply means they haven't found anything wrong with the picture yet, cause if they did... they would have at least phoned me or even emailed me.

Look at DiscoveryHD and compare that with MnetHD and you will clearly see what HD is all about.

It appears all of my hard work in giving the consumer justice... will be to no avail.....

Hopefully if enough viewers vote then Multichoice will be pressured to take action. Please vote and post your opinion on the dstv.com forum :)
