Mobicel Echo Android Update?

Hi,

I just spoke to Mobicel support and according to them it is not possible to upgrade Android (comes with Android KitKat 4.4.2). They couldn't really give an explanation.

Has anyone tried to/successfully updated their Android version on Mobicel Echo?

Also have one and have had no joy what so ever updating.

Then again, it is a cheapy though.

its possible to upgrade your cheap android phone,

just need to find the SOC provider (qualcomm,ect) and somebody that created a ROM for it on XDA,

I managed to do it with my galaxy pocket and that was also a low spec android phone,

yes, the FM radio didnt work, but didnt need it
