I'd like to consider getting a dual-sim phone & saw Game promoting Mobicell a few weeks ago.

Anyone (else) on the forum know more about these phones; the only related Mobicell comment I've been able to find on the forum is :

well i got a mobicell 404 from Jet for R199. It's dual sim, got internet, facebook, bluetooth and even comes with a 2gig card.

What I'd like to know is -

1.) whether they're reliable, and more important, have a decent enough battery life ?
They don't state what the mAh strengths are for each of their models on this page, but do any of you know if these phones will last a week or more on 1 charge ?

2.) would any of them handle e-mail notifications ?
Something like this Email notifications, which I'd like to incorporate within one of these phones.

No idea about those phones but a phone of R199 that checks your email every few minutes "ePrompter automatically and simultaneously checks and retrieves your email messages from up to sixteen password protected email accounts"
and runs 2 simcards at the same time, and then last more than a week on 1 charge while you probably wanna use facebook and all that stuff you mentioned? does it have some battery pack you will carry around over your shoulder?

:)

Also curious as to how it works. Can you use 2 different sim cards like 2 different networks?

I'm not sure on the battery life and service, etc, but with regards to 2 different networks, someone did show me how it works, you can use 2 different networks and when you make a call it asks whether you would want to make the call/send sms from sim1 or sim2.

i know someone who has been using a mobicell phone that loads 4 simcards, six months so far, no issues, but the phone looks very cheap,i doubt if it can survive a one metre fall

I'd be interested in the 4 sim edition. Can you find out some details for me? Model, price etc

I would recommend the AG 40ZA as well, good customer service from AG Cellular. It's stocked in Edgars, Jet and CNA

Yip - tried that one. Interested to know if there is an alternative from Mobicell?

I had the M808 for 2 days. As someone else said it is very cheaply made. Reasons for returning is
1) no software to connect to PC
2) Headphone socket not working.
3) Battle every-time to connect to Bluetooth, have to reset the phone.
4) Intermittent connecting to network. Also had the run around by Glomail as someone else stated that it is network problems but proof them otherwise.
I could have had a dud phone.
I battle to get my money back not even full refund and this was only after logging it on HelloPeter which is not as per the new consumer act.
I am waiting for the new Nokia dual sim that might be released this year.

I will avoid these type of phones at all costs!

Personally had a chinese ripoff of the Samsung Galaxy S, also dual sim even with TV tuner.. and the performance sucks, very laggy and the call quality is rubbish

They are chinese phones but branded and marketed by mobicell. Check bidorbuy, there's lots of chinese phones, copies of nokia and blackberry.
But, considering the price, its definitely worth it.

Had a good look at these over the weekend. The phones look decent enough but when I asked to see the box I was disappointed - obviously the box means nothing in reality, but appearance is important and it looked cheap!! This made me concerned about the 'contents' phone quality etc.

I am currently using the AG 4oza 4 sim phone - decent for sure although one of the buttons has come off. I have phoned their support line and they promised they would repair under warranty.

However I am still in search of the 'ultimate' 4 sims active simultaneously cell phone!

Quad Sim (?)

I am keen to buy the AG 4oza, but I've read some demotivating reviews on their Facebook page such as struggling to get onto the net, or poor network quality. Can you comment on this?
I was leaning on buying the LG A290 (triple sim) phone, since it is a reputable brand and can be "trusted", but I am unsure of these Mobicell/AG 4oza.

I'm simply looking for a triple/quad sim phone that can make calls, sms's and has good battery. I'd use my smartphone for data.

I had one of the cheaper ones, and found it would not pair with my Bluetooth headset (which can and has paired with samsungs and Nokia's). Not bad phones, but can they run whatsapp?
